The Dream Team

Festival Directors
Britt & Jeff Roth
In 2018, Britt and Jeff embarked on a new chapter in Kanab, a town rich in film history and known as Little Hollywoodfor its hundreds of film productions. Noticing the absence of a multi-day film festival in this cinematic hub, they set out to create one. In 2019, the inaugural Kanab Film Fest took place at the historic Parry Lodge, and it has continued to grow, refining its niche in the festival industry with the support of a remarkably talented team.
Britt brings extensive event planning experience, while Jeff, who holds a Master’s in Animation from SCAD, has shared his expertise in film and motion graphics at the college level and is an award-winning filmmaker.
Through their nonprofit, Roth Ventures, they are dedicated to keeping the magic of moviemaking alive in southern Utah—supporting emerging filmmakers, fostering community engagement, and celebrating Kanab’s deep cinematic roots. Beyond the festival, they are also the proud owners of Dark Sky, a boutique RV park in Kanab.
