Student Scholarship & Mentoring

We are committed to nurturing young talent and providing the resources they need to succeed and shine in their filmmaking pursuits.

The new Student Filmmaker Scholarship launched in 2024 is designed to support and guide aspiring filmmakers on their creative journey. This program offers financial assistance and personalized mentorship to help students develop their skills, realize their projects, and provide a platform to showcase their work for the first time in front of an audience.

Film Production Internships

We’re dedicated to helping students bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional experience. Our internship program collaborates with our local high school to offer qualified students hands-on experience in the behind the scenes work on a film and event production.  Students can earn academic credit while gaining valuable industry skills. This program provides a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the film world, prepare for real-life challenges, and build a foundation for future careers in the industry...and watch some great films!

Community Engagement

Who doesn't love a free flick?  We host a free monthly film series aimed at engaging our local rural community and providing families with an affordable movie-going experience. By offering this opportunity at no cost, we hope to bring people together and share the joy of cinema with everyone, regardless of their budget.

Historic Theater Restoration

Originally called the Kanab Theatre, The RedStone Theater has a rich history of providing family entertainment for over 88 years. Home to the Fest for four years and running, we are dedicated to preserving our community's rich cinematic heritage. We are committed to earmark specific funds for the continued restoration of this historic building, ensuring it continues to be a vibrant cultural landmark and continue to be a space for future generations to enjoy the arts.
